  • Classification: Moderate (a few stiles, slippery if wet) With 800 foot of climb and descent it should be attempted only by those who are at least moderately fit and wearing stout footwear. Child Friendly: No  Dog Friendly: No
  • Refreshments: None on the hill, so carry your own. Join us for food and a drink in the Queen Elizabeth, Elmley’s community pub, at the end of the walk.

“A summer’s evening walk that will take you up to almost a thousand feet on this “magic” hill. You will find a Parson’s Folly, an elephant, a sundial, a toposcope, Lalu Farm, half an Iron Age fort and an abandoned Norman castle. In reasonable weather views extend in every direction, from Birmingham to the Brecon Beacons.
The leaders will talk about the significant aspects of the geology, geography, pre-history, history and folklore of the hill as we walk.”
