  • Description:

“In our 70th year we are welcoming two of the ERC longest serving members, Roger Gibbins and Roger Hallam, to this ramble. The ramble is a superb linear type which goes in search of the Hereford and Gloucester Canal, built between 1793 and 1845. There are still glimpses of the canal on the ramble, including buildings such as “tunnel house”. Hereford & Gloucester Canal Trust is determined to re-open the entire canal, but this may be a long job.”
