Although UK Government restrictions are easing, the club is still unable to offer a programme of rambles to members of the public. We hope to resume soon.

  • Leaders: Chris and Carl
  • Area: Gotherington / Teddington / Prescott
  • Start: 9.30 am
  • Distance: am 6.4 miles / 10.3 km; pm 6 miles / 9.6 km
  • Terrain: Mainly on good, well-walked paths, short road sections and a few cultivated fields. There are a couple of gentle hill sections to negotiate.
  • Lunch: 12.30 pm, The Shutters Inn, Gotherington, Details: Pub Meal or bring your own picnic. Please indicate on your booking form if you require a Pub Meal and give your choice from the menu. https://www.theshutterinngotherington.co.uk/index Please book before 13 May if you are ordering food.

  • Description:

“A pleasing morning walk around Oxenton Hill, peppered with some gentle climbs, taking in pleasant views of the Malverns and the Cotswolds. We walk along a short section of road towards Alstone, other than that there are a few gates, stiles and local wildlife to negotiate. The afternoon walk takes in a few steep sections (Nottingham Hill, Prescott). At ‘Rushbury House’ we take a well-deserved coffee break, taking in the views of Winchcombe.”

June Sunday Ramble 2021
Jun 20 all-day
  • Leaders: Paul and Hazel
  • Area: Malvern HIlls
  • Start: 9.30 am
  • Distance: am 6 miles / 9.6 km; pm 4.2 miles / 6.8 km
  • Terrain: Undulating, apart from the initial 99 Pixie Steps. We circumnavigate the hills on balcony paths with no other major climbs.
  • Lunch: Around 12.30 -1.30 pm, Near the Wyche Cutting, Please bring your own picnic lunch. We pass the toilets at Wyche Cutting twice.
  • Maximum Bookings: 18
  • Description:

“In the morning we go up the Pixie Steps to walk south around Perserverance, Jubilee, Pinnacle and Black Hills. In the afternoon our route takes us north around North Hill and the Worcestershire Beacon. We have excellent views throughout the day.”
