No stiles.\n\n\n\nDistance: 3.8 miles\n\n\n\nDescription: “This is a nice and easy walk to start off our series of Friday evening walks in 2026. The walk is almost entirely on quiet roads\, well-made farm tracks and well-maintained pathways. We will skirt around a couple of fields but nothing challenging under foot. Even if it has been raining\, mud should not be a problem.  Sunset is predicted to be at 6.30pm\, so the latter stages of the walk will likely be in a degree of darkness. We’ll pass a 17th-century farmhouse and a hidden damson orchard. You are encouraged to bring walking sticks\, and we’ll be walking fairly quickly and thirstily because the aim\, as always\, is to end by enjoying Worcestershire’s finest craft beer\, at a brewery in a barn which shuts at 8pm. There will be a pop-up food stand – if you might want to eat\, please indicate this in your booking and we’ll send you the menu to choose from shortly before the day\, so they hold back food for our arrival (the place is very popular on summer evenings). DESCRIPTION:Members may view additional information by clicking  here \n\n\n\n\n\n\nLeaders: Trevor and Lesley\n\n\n\nArea:  Broadway\, Laverton and Buckland\n\n\n\nStart Time: 6.00 pm\n\n\n\nTerrain: This is a good hill climb up onto ‘The Bank’. There are a number of reasonably well maintained stiles. The footpaths into Laverton and Buckland are well maintained. Our descent through Broadway Wood can be muddy\, due to the springs above. \n\n\n\nDistance:  5.2 miles\n\n\n\nDescription: ” Starting from ‘The Green’\, we head south along Snowshill Road to West End where we pick up a footpath heading steeply uphill from Pye Corner\, across very prominent ridge and furrow. From here we can take in the views across to The Bank and Dulverton Hill\, possibly catching a glimpse of Broadway Tower. At Manor Farm we take the path out towards the village of Laverton from where we pick up the Winchcombe Way towards the village of Buckland. SUMMARY:August 16  Evening Ramble
DESCRIPTION:Members may view additional information by clicking  here \n\n\n\n\n\n\nLeaders: Paul and Fran\n\n\n\nArea:  Upton Snodsbury – Broughton Hacket – White Ladies Aston \n\n\n\nStart Time: 5.30 pm\n\n\n\nTerrain: Almost exclusively farmland\, so could be muddy if it has been raining. Chances of livestock in the fields and there are some stiles. But mostly flat terrain. \n\n\n\nDistance:  5.4 miles\n\n\n\nDescription: ” We start and end at The Oak Inn in Upton Snodsbury. We leave the village and head across farmland towards Broughton Hackett. Before we get anywhere near the village of Broughton Hacket (it is a Friday evening and it’s ‘all you can eat’ carvery at The March Hare\, so we will stay away from the chaos!)\, we veer left and head towards the pretty little village of White Ladies Aston.We complete a small loop around the village of White Ladies Aston before heading back towards Cowsden and then to our start point.”\n\n\n\nAfter the Walk  We will retire to the Oak Pub after the walk for a drink. One stile.\n\n\n\nDistance:  6.5 miles\n\n\n\nDescription:  “A circular walk climbing to Broadway Tower for spectacular views of Evesham Vale and surrounding areas. The walk takes us up Snowshill Road\, along footpaths to Coneygree Lane. We go up Coneygree Lane (steep) and then across footpaths to Middle Hill where there is another steep section. DESCRIPTION:Members may view additional information by clicking  here. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nLeaders: Andy and Emily\n\n\n\nArea: Heightington\n\n\n\nStart Time: 4.30 pm\n\n\n\nTerrain:  Mostly hilly fields; a few very steep wooded inclines with challenging footing; six stiles.\n\n\n\nDistance: 5.2 miles\n\n\n\nDescription:\n\n\n\n\n“A repeat of our July 2023 walk\, we hope with less rain! We cross steep farmland\, dipping down to and up from wooded streams\, with a 17th century farmhouse and a hidden damson orchard along the way. Some of the gullies are very challenging and you are encouraged to bring walking sticks.” \n\n\n\nAt the end we hope to sample some fine craft beer at a one-man brewery in a barn.
