• April Evening Ramble

This walk combines elements of three walks in the Heart of England Forest Spernal area. We will follow alongside the River Arrow for a while before heading to College Wood with its views of Spernal and Studley Castle. We then pass through Morgrove Coppice before heading back to our cars.

  • May 10 Evening Ramble

Trevor and Lesley lead the first of May's Evening Rambles from Broadway over open farmland to Childswickham, passing several farms including Gorsehill Abbey Farm with its 'Pour your Own' Milk Shed.

  • May 24 Evening Ramble

A repeat of our July 2023 walk, we hope with less rain! We cross steep farmland, dipping down to and up from wooded streams, with a 17th century farmhouse and a hidden damson orchard along the way. Some of the gullies are very challenging and you are encouraged to bring walking sticks.

  • June 7 Evening Ramble

A circular walk climbing to Broadway Tower for spectacular views of Evesham Vale and surrounding areas. The walk takes us up Snowshill Road, along footpaths to Coneygree Lane. We go up Coneygree Lane (steep) and then across footpaths to Middle Hill where there is another steep section. The walk continues to Broadway Tower where we can enjoy the views and have a brief stop before continuing the walk down the Cotswold Way (steep in sections with steps) back to the village where the walk finishes on the Green.

  • June 21 Evening Ramble

A gentle ramble from Hawbridge, skirting Deerfold Wood, through Drakes Broughton and return via Millennium Wood. There are several pubs nearby for refreshment after, depending on the weather.

  • July 12 Evening Ramble

A circular walk from Winchcombe to the 'Drover' wood carving on Langley Hill. Ever changing views of the surrounding hills and Vale of Evesham.

  • August 16 Evening Ramble

We start and end at The Oak Inn in Upton Snodsbury. We leave the village and head across farmland towards Broughton Hackett. Before we get anywhere near the village of Broughton Hacket (it is a Friday evening and it’s 'all you can eat' carvery at The March Hare, so we will stay away from the chaos!), we veer left and head towards the pretty little village of White Ladies Aston.
We complete a small loop around the village of White Ladies Aston before heading back towards Cowsden and then to our start point.

  • August 30 Evening Ramble

Starting from ‘The Green’, we head south along Snowshill Road to West End where we pick up a footpath heading steeply uphill from Pye Corner, across very prominent ridge and furrow. From here we can take in the views across to The Bank and Dulverton Hill, possibly catching a glimpse of Broadway Tower. At Manor Farm we take the path out towards the village of Laverton from where we pick up the Winchcombe Way towards the village of Buckland. Here we leave the Winchcombe Way and follow the footpath through Broadway Coppice and then head downhill crossing West End Lane, taking the path round the Flood Alleviation scheme back into Broadway.

  • April 25 Evening Ramble

An evening stroll from Offenham through the heart of the herb and salad growing industry that has proliferated in the Vale over the past decade, returning alongside Broadway Brook to the Boat Lane Brewery for well-earned refreshment.
