There could be mud if it rains!\n\n\n\nDistance: 9.7m\n\n\n\nDescription: \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n” Leaving Stow-on-the-Wold we follow the Gloucestershire Way\, passing Upper and Lower Swell to reach Upper Slaughter\, where we stop for lunch.After lunch the Wardens Way leads us to the pretty village of Lower Slaughter. DESCRIPTION:Members may view additional information by clicking  here \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLeaders: Paul and Fran\n\n\n\nArea: Bishampton\n\n\n\nStart Time: 10.00 am\n\n\n\nTerrain: Mostly flat with one slope of minor steepness. The route is mostly farmland so expect styles (7) and sheep\, cattle and/or horses. There is a section through woodland where the path is poorly maintained\, with trees\, both fallen and standing\, across the path! Expect mud and puddles if it has been raining.\n\n\n\nDistance: 6 miles\n\n\n\nDescription:\n\n\n\n\n“A relatively easy walk – with a tempting reward at the end!Starting from Bishampton we follow part of the Queen Elizabeth walk. A short climb along a quiet road takes us into woodland for a bit of an adventure.After a short break\, we venture across the Vale Golf Club – watch out for mishit golf balls! If we are lucky\, there may be reindeer at the shop at the club entrance.Open fields and woodland lead us back to Bishampton. Even if it has been raining\, mud should not be a problem.  Sunset is predicted to be at 6.30pm\, so the latter stages of the walk will likely be in a degree of darkness.
