Warm welcome

As first-time attendees, we found the warm welcome and very interesting Members made a great morning. Linking Housman to this Festival walk is a brilliant idea and certainly the main attraction for non-members. In my ignorance, other than the article in The Vale, my knowledge of Housman was limited to the title ‘On Bredon Hill’ and the phrase ‘Blue remembered hills’. Upon return home I printed both, and fully appreciated the emotion therein, deserving of a quiet moment. I do hope that you may include a similar walk next year, and perhaps allow a little more time for the reading of these two wonderful pieces.
