FRODSHAM TO WHITCHURCH
For 2018 we are rambling Cheshire, a county that holds a variety of rambles. The trail bisects the county following a ridge of Sandstone created in some geological upheaval aeons ago. This backbone makes a fine ridge walk and continuous viewing platform for the surrounding countryside. The starting point is Frodsham town centre by the War Memorial. We are rewarded with impressive views over the Mersey estuary to the distinctive Liverpool skyline beyond. There are many interesting places to visit on this trail including the village of Burwardsley, the ancestral home of one of our female members, whose family owned many acres and farm barns in this area.
