From the car park we take the footpath south out to Sutton-under-Brailes, here we cross the green and take the footpath out towards the village of Cherington. In Cherington we cross summer pastures which run alongside the River Stour. Note: it can be rather wet across these fields. In Cherington we join the Shakespeare Way, the views back towards Shipston and The Bailes are wonderful. From here we continue on to Whichford Wood. Once in the wood we leave the Shakespeare Way and join the Macmillan Way this heads east to the village of Whichford. In Whichford we hope to take a short rest at the pottery, if open. Once refreshed we will take a footpath out north towards North Leasow Farm. From here we take a path downhill to cross another large tributary which feeds the River Stour. The path eventually arks round towards the village of Stourton where we cross a number of fields, finally crossing the River Stour. Then back to the outskirt of Sutton-under-Brailes.. The path then takes us north east alongside the Sutton Brook, passing Brailes Golf Course and back into the village of Lower Brailes via the 99 steps.
