August Short Ramble
Every Rambler`s dream. Woodland trails, babbling brooks, panoramic views and a picturesque village steeped in history past and present.

August 29 Evening Ramble
This is our third summertime romp across the rollercoaster landscape of the hills north of Abberley. We’ll pass a 17th-century farmhouse and a hidden damson orchard. You are encouraged to bring walking sticks, and we’ll be walking fairly quickly and thirstily because the aim, as always, is to end by enjoying Worcestershire’s finest craft beer, at a brewery in a barn which shuts at 8pm. There will be a pop-up food stand – if you might want to eat, please indicate this in your booking and we’ll send you the menu to choose from shortly before the day, so they hold back food for our arrival (the place is very popular on summer evenings). Please bring £1 to pay for parking at the Village Hall.

August Sunday Ramble
Judith and Alan Bolton from Chepstow Welcomes Walkers will jointly lead this walk which showcases the beautiful Wye Valley. We visit the Cleddon Falls before an exhilerating ridge walk with breathtaking views. There is an optional 3 mile extension to Tintern Abbey towards the end of the route.
The Old Station Tearoom is a welcome bonus at the end of the walk

October Midweek Ramble
Leaving Stow-on-the-Wold we follow the Gloucestershire Way, passing Upper and Lower Swell to reach Upper Slaughter, where we stop for lunch.
After lunch the Wardens Way leads us to the pretty village of Lower Slaughter. Crossing the River Dikler at Hyde Mill, we return to Stow-on-the-Wold via the hamlet of Maugersbury. -
October Short Ramble
From The New Inn, head east along Canada Lane. Go through farm yard and then uphill. Follow a bridleway and then onto Snitterfield Lane. Then follow a long track past Blacon Farm, leading to the west side of Norton Lindsey. We then go through Gannaway Wood, eventually emerging by the Cricket Ground and the back to the New Inn.
If the weather conditions are muddy, we can omit the last part.
Good panoramic views. -
