As Secretary of Evesham Rambling Club and a member of the organising committee for the Evesham Walking Festival, I obviously had more than a passing interest in the success of our first Festival.
We weren’t sure what response there would be from local walkers and those from further afield, and despite a favourable long-range forecast, I certainly couldn’t have predicted that we would have such glorious weather.
The turnout was beyond our expectations and it was a pleasure to meet and get to know so many keen walkers. It was a week’s “staycation” walking holiday for me and I’d like to thank everyone who joined us on our walks.
