‘Heigh-Ho, Heigh-Ho’
Armed with four hedge trimmers and two brush cutters, we set off from Newtown, Offenham, to work on overgrown footpaths on Evesham Vale Circular Walk 3 – The Littletons, Offenham, Cleeve Prior.
Six members of the group quickly disappeared into the undergrowth to clear the paths up Windmill Hill towards South Littleton. Parts of the paths identified for clearance had recently been ploughed up by a local farmer, so less work for us and this job was completed within the hour. In the meantime, Dennis and Geoff carried out repairs to a ditch crossing handrail and reinstated a roadside footpath sign. The whole group then moved to the top of Fish & Anchor bank to begin clearing the bridleway towards Cleeve Prior. This was in a much worse condition than first thought and was totally blocked in places. With the dynamic workforce and all the tools at our disposal, we cleared the vegetation right through to where the path was in better condition.
A totally satisfactory morning’s work.

The Club received the following from a member of the public recently.
“Just wanted to drop you a message to say that my friend and I had a wonderful time on Circular Walk 4 when we did it on Friday. Thank you so much to everyone who put time and energy into creating the walk and the leaflet and maintaining the paths and waymarkers.
I have lived in the area for two years now but only just discovered your walks when Susan found them online. I now have a copy of all the leaflets ready for likely days in the future.
It really is an amazing thing you have done to create them.”
Makes it all worthwhile.
