• April Midweek Ramble

This month’s ramble is in conjunction with ‘Charlbury Walkers are Welcome’ on a scenic circular route through the Evenlode Valley, parts of the historic Wychwood Forest, Cornbury Estate and the villages of Chilson and Finstock, with lovely countryside views along the way and an opportunity to see the historic church of Shorthampton and its wall paintings.

  • April Short Ramble

We return to Mickleton but a different route from the January short ramble. We climb Bakers Hill then follow the Monarch Way to Hidcote Bartrim and then return past Hidcote Manor and Kiftsgate Court.

  • April Evening Ramble

A nice and easy walk to start off our series of Friday evening walks in 2026. The walk is almost entirely on quiet roads, well-made farm tracks and well-maintained pathways. We will skirt around a couple of fields but nothing challenging under foot. Even if it has been raining, mud should not be a problem. Sunset is predicted to be at 6.30pm, so the latter stages of the walk will likely be in a degree of darkness. Please bring a torch, or your phone, to light the way.

  • April Sunday Ramble 2026

Varied walk, hopefully something of interest to everyone. Bluebells should be out. Weather permitting lunch with a view from May Hill.

  • May 08 Evening Ramble

A circular walk across parkland and fields to Spoonly Wood and return past Sudeley Castle.

  • May Midweek Ramble

A circular variation on last year’s Blockley walk, showcasing the very best of the North Cotswolds

  • May Short Ramble

Starting in my lovely village of Welford on Avon, taking in farmland, Heart of England Forest and the River Avon. What’s not to like?

  • May 22 Evening Ramble

A ramble through the Ashmore and New Farm nature reserves on the outskirts of Evesham. We will follow parts of the Skylark Trail learning a bit about about the history of the area.

  • May Sunday Ramble 2026

A lovely circular walk with great views of the Warwickshire countryside. From Coughton we head towards Spernal following the Arden Way along a stretch of the River Arrow, then round to Spernal park, touching on the Heart of England Way before rejoining the Arden Way and through the grounds of Coughton Court.
