Something different. To celebrate Railway 200 (200 years since the birth of the Railway) this a linear walk from Kingham to Moreton-in-Marsh. Meeting at Moreton-in-Marsh we will catch the train to Kingham and walk back to Moreton, visiting an interesting church and some literary references along the way. To really enter the spirit why not catch the train from Evesham and return to Evesham on a return ticket. |

After crossing Kempsey Common we visit the18th-century folly, Pirton Castle, built by the Earl of Coventry to view from his distant estate at Croome Court, and on to nearby Pirton Pool and then to Pirton Church. Our return route is via Stonehall and Kempsey Commons. |

An enjoyable 5 mile circular walk, combining woods and views from Abberley Hill with lanes and fields below, and taking in part of the Worcestershire Way. There is a steep downhill section with steps, when walking poles may be helpful. |
